Mealworms and Waxworms should be alternative food items offered once in a while .Food items should not be bigger than the animals head . Also , provide a dish of calcium powder for them to lap , this is necessary for females laying eggs constantly , as they are known to do . Juveniles should be fed every day while adults should be fed every other day . Water Paroedura pictus will drink out of a water bowl and they will also lap at the sides of the enclosure . An occasional misting is always good for the animal but the enclosure should always be allowed to dry out .
